I'm also wary of that, if it's not as grind as the last one i might play it.

Hmm..yeh the grind in XI was a bit nasty...sposedly in XIV they're going for a more moving band of players killing mobs as they go - no more static camps pulling mobs to them like it was in XI..who knows, still under NDA, although beta started yesterday or so, hopefully NDA gets lifted soon..I'm personally looking forward to the fact you can actually level as a tradesman as a main class, and they have skills and abilities that can be used in combat (eg. Metalsmiths use picks and hammers, and get bonuses vs. Metallic creatures such as golems). Interesting change..

Heh I'll most likely roll a crafter main...im curious to see if its gonna keep up to a combat class as far as playing, or if you just go gathering / kill random spawns etc. Just waiting on the blasted NDA to fall.

Although I had a tarutaru (the lil guys) monk in XI, so funny watching a midgit kicking the snot out of a giant by kicking and punching his foot..go go pugilist in XIV!! :P

Yeah, tried it. Just couldn't force myself to attempt to go through Tortage again. That and in about 5 mins remembered how sucky it was.
Might try something else. Was a waste of bandwidth downloading that.

You know the MMO scene is dead when Roddy logs in and makes a post

same old same old wastey. Just waiting for SW to come out i guess. Been firing up old ones lately to see if they spark any interest again and going through them all. What have you been up to?

That beta is surprisingly fun I must say..might even get a subscription if its not hella overpriced, which considering its aimed at kids, should hopefully make it a cheaper MMO..
